Joint Mobilisations

When a joint’s mobility is hindered, the function of the desired movement changes, cartilage nutrition decreases, and other joints then begin to compensate. Muscles surrounding a dysfunctional joint lose their ability to contract and relax sufficiently and become tight.

Benefits From Joint Mobilisation?

The pet ideally needs to be relaxed and calm. Then placed into a position of comfort; this will then allow me sufficient access to move the joint.

Joint mobilisations aren’t always easy to achieve with pets, and it can often take several sessions to complete an effective joint mobilisation.
